i absolutely ADORE this writer, but sadly, she doesn't get nearly enough fame and recognition!
She has the amazing ability to captivate one with her intricate story lines, fantastic detail, and very interesting take on fantasy.
Oh! and don't forget the bit of erotica laced in with vampires and such. ^.^ ha.
Has anyone ever read one of her books before?

I haven't. So, is it basically vampire romance/erotica like Vampire Diaries, Twilight, etc.?

i have never read the Vampire Diaries but Twilight is SHIIIITTTTT. there is absolutely NOTHING sexy about a sparkling creeper.
the Blood Ties (by JA) totally kick Twilight's ass :3

Twilight wasn't too bad, writing wise...but I was really unhappy with the portrayal of Edward being an abusive controlling boyfriend, and Bella still wanting him...kind of makes the wrong impression on young girls.

As for Vampire Diaries...I think that's some of the WORST writing I have ever seen. Horrible.

I have been enjoying the Vampire Academy series and the Mortal Instruments series however. Good story and good writing.

Mortal Instruments is about fallen angels and demons and demon hunting...it's really well done. I just finished the first one City of Bones - really really good. Can't wait to read the next one, but not until AFTER I finish these darn essays...
